Fallbrook Climate Fallbrook School Information Fallbrook is located just inside San Diego’s North County line, off Interstate 15. Fallbrook has been coined “The Avocado Capital Of The World,” producing millions of dollars worth each year. A short 18-mile drive from the Pacific Ocean, the greater Fallbrook area is well known for its gently rolling hills, lush groves, ancient oak trees, equestrian and walking trails, riparian areas, nature preserves, and Mediterranean climate.  Many visitors fall in love with Fallbrook upon their first visit and make it a goal to purchase a home or property here in the future. If what you are looking for is a peaceful, rural countryside with all the amenities nearby, Fallbrook might just be that place.  Approximately 43,000 people are spread over 127 square miles. A drive around Fallbrook reveals active lifestyles. Four golf courses meander through rolling hills within a 10-mile radius of the town center. When tennis is the action, a missed back-hand shot is secondary to the magnificent panoramic views. Fallbrook residents are within an easy commute of Orange County, Riverside County and Camp Pendleton.  San Diego is about 60 miles south, and not a great option for commuting professionals. Oceanside is much closer for those working outside the Fallbrook community.

Climate:

Fallbrook has an average year-round temperature of 61 degrees. Due to the prevailing ocean breezes, the humidity is relatively low and constant.

The average daytime high in Fallbrook is 76 degrees, with the warmest summer temperatures seldom exceeding 90 degrees. Most of the area is frost-free; during the coldest periods the average nighttime temperature is about 42 degrees.

Annual rainfall in Fallbrook is roughly 16 inches (41 cm) and comes mostly between November and April. Fallbrook is ideal for avocados, strawberries, tomatoes and many other sub-tropical fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

Weddings and History:

They are a BIG deal in Fallbrook.  Folks come from all over Southern California to marry here.  It is a special place and dozens of venues support incredibly special days to remember.  Just type in Weddings and Fallbrook and you will see for yourself.  The Grand Tradition opened to a full schedule from the first day and continues to be one of the best wedding locations in the US.  Surrounded by Avocado and Citrus groves, Fallbrook retains its old world charm.

Once a major olive production area, the trees were exported in the 1920's to places like Hollywood and Pasadena.  If you see a 100 year old olive tree in Los Angeles it might be a Fallbrook expatriate.  And you can still find many of these graceful groves of trees throughout the surrounding area.  Hundreds of years ago the Live Oak Park area was home to local Native American tribes who ground the acorns from the surrounding oaks into a flour for their bread.  You can still find areas along the streams which hold the metate shape in the rocks where this was done.   In Fallbrook you can just feel the history with antique homes, churches and businesses.
